So Hilary says, "I know you're gonna be mad..." (Which makes me mad.) "I've been staring at your hair all day. The gray streaks are really cool." Ah great.
So I ordered my birth kit the other day. They decide shipping based on weight. So they emailed me the total:
"We have received and processed your order of 06/21/08. The order will ship via UPS Ground by 06/27/08 and the cost will be $15390, plus merchandise of $95.45..."
I wrote them back and said, only if it's not really that much money. :-)
So I'm sitting here talking to the kids and I say, "I'm always a bad mommy."
To which Owen replies, "No! You're always mean..." She said it with a smile in her voice.
Well we had Ada's birthday party a bit early. We invited everyone over to celebrate but it was really a combo birthday/4th of July/Going away for the Pepperstones. We rented an inflatable and the girls had fun all day while we cleaned up and got ready. But just as the party was starting, a serious thunderstorm with hail came over the town. Eventually it let up and Benjamin and another older kid got sopping wet while "drying" off the inside. Then the other kids went back. She loved her gifts and the cake was awesome.
The headbands were a huge success as was her very own baby doll, complete with Etsy cloth diapers!
I have to admit that I'm enjoying the new fangled camps for kids. I love having photos to look at on a daily basis. It's like checking in without hovering. Not to say I don't look at pics and think, "Why is he wearing long pants in 100 degree weather?" But hey, it's in the past and I can prove he was breathing yesterday. ;-)
So on that note, Lilah is home form camp. She had a blast. I was worried she'd stay shy but I picked her up and she was smiling, chatting and playing well. I am so glad. She wants to go back THIS summer.
In exchange, we dropped Isaac off. His first pictures have been viewed. We'll see him in awhile. (See what I mean about the long pants?)
Well today was Isaac's big day - he's off to camp again for nearly a month. We started the morning off with our usual Bob Evans meal.
Then we waited at the parking lot for an hour. Hilary took the girls to the play ground which was a blessing, but Ada was frightened by the sound of lawnmowers and sat on the bench a lot - how sad. After putting Isaac on the bus, Kevin came over to say good bye. I thought you'd get a kick of this one.
And just some pics because I can...
