So Clara and Owen are going to puppet camp this summer. In camp they offer lunch. I was looking at the menu for vegetarian girlies today and saw that one day ham sandwiches were listed, but a special note said that no pork products were really used, just turkey. (Why bother calling it ham?) Anyway, so I was telling the girls that if they got meat sandwiches, like ham or turkey, they could ask for a PB&J. Clara looks up and says, "Ham is really meat, right?"
We were riding in the car and talking to Owen and Clara about the new baby. When Clara asks me about a complication of homebirth I'd never thought of: "What if a hunter were to come into our house and try to shoot the new baby?"
"Well, Clara, I'd never thought of that one..."
Owen and Clara got in to the elementary school of our choice. It means that they have a better shot at a decent middle school and it means that I'll have four kids in ONE school! (Yay me!) So, only three schools next year!
We really love this elementary school and think it's a great choice for them.
Clara snuck up and kissed me and left a slobbery wet kiss on my cheek. I complained. She matter of factly looked at me and said, "You know, when you kiss someone, you get some wetness..."
This is what Owen and Clara were discussing in the back of the van today. I couldn't figure out what they were saying right away. Then I figured out that never trees are "Trees that never loose their leaves..." We had a mini-science lesson in the car...
It's really not a typo, I don't mean SWAK as in sealed with a kiss. But this is what Clara thinks lives in her ear. Kevin said, "She has all the sounds, just in the wrong order." Which of course, means he's worried about an auditory processing disorder. I'm not, I think she misheard the word wax and was delighted with herself for trying to remember!
Owen and Clara have been growing their hair for locks of love. It was finally long enough that they wouldn't have extremely short hair. But there was a small snag and the two women who gave very nice hair cuts didn't manage to get their hair cut alike. In the end they said they were okay with looking different, I was the one traumatized...
