How it's going...
I played French Folk Song and got a "Good, good, not bad, good. Yeah, good I like that one." I'll take that too. :-)

Okay I've been having so much fun with my cello! Lilah, Hilary and I had a great trio the other night for our friends. Tonight, Kevin, Hilary and I recorded our first "album" as a podcast. I will upload it later. I now know three songs:
I'm going strong! ;-)
My cello that is! Every Monday, I load up the cello and go take the girls to school. Then I have 90 minutes to kill before cello. I don't want to drive back home, since it's near their school. So I've been walking or doing other stuff, but I'm really aching to play my cello. I'm already in that mindset and I enjoy it so.
So today, I jumped out of the van and pulled out my cello, right there on the playground and played for almost an hour. Yes, it was the same song, even if it was a few variations. My butt was sore from sitting on the edge of the bench and my fingers really hurt, I'm not sure I've played that long, but it was really, really nice.
So I finally removed some ants from the cello and I used my rockstop to prevent the cello from digging in the dirt. Then it was time to go in and do my lesson. I called Kevin as I cleaned up and prepared to move, which isn't so easy with a cello, and he laughed at me and called me a crazy cat lady. I'm not - I'm the crazy lady with the cello who plays in the park! (No one was around...)
I'm also noticing that the bow hold that really was so difficult last month when I started is much easier. And I have a new appreciation for Twinkle Twinkle Little Star - in all four variations...
Soon, I'll get to play Go Tell Aunt Rhody! Moving up...
