I was taking a bath and heard some commotion outside, it was falling limbs!

A Quick Brag

I interrupt this grief to bring you a quick blog post about happy things:

Isaac:  His chess team just picked up a second place trophy after a close tie break for first. He also was chosen to go to the state tournament for the Student Technology Leadership Program.  He was so helpful, his teacher has him coming back to help teach!

Lilah: Her chess team (K3) just got a 2nd place trophy at a chess tourney!

Owen & Clara: Just won a 3rd place trophy for their chess team (K1) with only three players!  (Impressive!) I'm too lazy to flip it...

Noa: Is out of the brace at night for a few weeks.  We'll check again to see how she's doing and potentially she doesn't have to wear it again.  She rolled back to belly and belly to back tonight! Moo cow also weighs 10 lbs 3 oz!

Oh dear G-d!

So a family treat is that every week, we get bean burritos from Taco Bell for lunch on Sunday after Religious School.  Usually it's in the afternoon but last night I'd made some soup for lunch so we skipped it today.  But Kevin and I were out and decided to surprise the kids for dinner.  So we drive up to the usual Taco Bell around 6 p.m.  We order our usual: 14 bean burritos.  The kid at the counter repeated the order back in disbelief (We're used to this...) and added, Oh dear G-d!  When he asked if I wanted anything else, I wish I would have ordered a small Diet Pepsi...

As I drove away I told the teen, "I'm blogging this..."

Hilary got her purple belt this week in Tae Kwon Do.

Way to go, Noa!

It's been a banner day for Noa.  First I figured out that she has her first tooth!  She wasn't terribly cranky or anything. And she is the youngest Weiss child for tooth time.

Then we received the news that she could start weaning form her brace. What this means is that she will spend only 12 hours a day in her brace. If you're like me the first question was: Can that be at night?  The answer is yes!

I am crazy, but not that crazy...

I like Chik-Fil-A but these people are camping in the snow to be first tomorrow.

The Balloons

Here is a view from the balloons. Mom and I are holding her space if not Grandma's hands. A nursing home is interesting in the wee hours. Thanks to everyone who helped make getting the kids to school possible.

On no she didn't!

We were just getting ready today and Owen and I were downstairs by the hairbrush (tied to the cabinet so it doesn't get lost).  Kevin came down and started brushing his hair (Can you say male pattern baldness?).  Owen look sup and innocently says, "I didn't know you could brush your hair, daddy." To which I replied, "I'm blogging that!" Kevin just shook his head and said, "Of course you are..."
