Enjoy this wacky program!
Hilary, in her new school, needed to use the restroom during Japanese class. She was supposed to ask in Japanese. She kept trying and the teacher kept looking at her quizzically. Finally he asked, "You want to drink toilet water?"
Shhh, don't tell Kevin....
I just realized that I don't have a pregnancy category - which is really weird for me. I was coming just to have everyone sending positive thoughts my way tomorrow so that I can channel that to my friend having her baby tomorrow. I'm so excited for her and the entire family as they can't wait to meet their little one. I know her pregnancy seems to have gone on forever.
I just got the twitter that WhyMommy was wheeled into surgery. She's having a double mastectomy today, after 6 months of chemo for inflammatory breast cancer. Think of her today and catch up with her updates here.
Edited at 6:55 p.m.:
WhyMommy is out of surgery and itching for an Internet connection - she's my kind of friend obviously! Keep her in your thoughts and prayers as her healing continues. Heavy on her heart is the six long weeks until she can pick up her sons again...
This is what Owen and Clara were discussing in the back of the van today. I couldn't figure out what they were saying right away. Then I figured out that never trees are "Trees that never loose their leaves..." We had a mini-science lesson in the car...
Someone remind me of this when I complain...
Of course the Mac version of the blue screen of death didn't help this afternoon. *sigh* I'm back up and working again...
I think I'm in love. I need this for my work.
Actually I had a lovely afternoon doing live blogging with Teri on AIM, Marci on AIM and texting and calling Andy - to talk about Mac World. Occasionally emailling talking to Kevin. Am I a nerd or what?
This morning Ada got immediately out of bed and picked up a folder with a few blank note papers in it. Her "homework." She brought it every where today. She kept saying that she needed a pen and a diet pepsi to do her homework. She even took it to school. Her teachers thought it was adorable and gaver her some crayons. So I wrote her name in eight different colors on her homework while she copied me. (She also has to sign out every day at school.) Too cute!
Hilary started a new school last week. So far I think it's going okay. She was hell bent on trying out for - the lower orchestra. Much to her chagrin, she was placed in the high orchestra (and NOT in the back row <--- her words). LOL She wants to join J club. I said if her grades were good that was fine. I also told her she could go to language camp if her grades were good. I'm seeing a postive attitude like 10% of the time - a HUGE improvement.
